SDP 2.0
The Quative Service Delivery Platform (SDP) is fully supporting a Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA) principle by which core services have been defined and implemented including Authentication, Subscriber and
Policy Management, Provisioning which are then commonly accessed by application services such as Broadcast, PPV,
PVR, VOD/SVOD, Messaging and others. This architecture allows a very smooth integration of such a specialised IPTV
SDP within an IMS/NGN umbrella architecture since the Quative SDP core services can be accessed and managed by external
components.
The platform supports a web services based and fully documented backend API to integrate with e.g. billing, rating,
CRM, network management, content management, content protection system and has a comprehensive device gateway function
which is able to adopt a different service mix to different types of STBs. Besides STBs the device gateway also supports
a web client for PCs and mobile devices today.
The SDP2.0 STB gateway function support per default the Quative Application Layer APIs which need to be supported by STB vendor own client middleware stack and OpenTV Core2. Other client middleware options can be supported on request.
