Quative Device and Application Layer API R1.0

For STB vendor middleware solutions Quative has defined an Application Layer API in JavaScript for browser based application run time environments. Quative Application Layer API R1.0 support includes:

  • IP and DVB EPG data feed (possible hybrid configuration)
  • PVR scheduling and conflict management supporting multi DVB and IP tuner environment
  • VOD player
  • IGMP or DVB based channel change
  • Event control
  • Other

Besides the Application Layer API, Quative has also defined a corresponding Device Layer API at a native layer. Today ANT Galio is the first commercial browser available which directly supports the Quative Application and Device API as part of their ANT Galio Client SW module.
